Life Style Sports unveiled their Spring collection today at their Grafton Street store. With offerings from Nike, Adidas, Stella and Under Armour as well as their own brand Millie&Gym, there was something for all budgets and styles…
Nike had a colour pop theme, refection the current trend for bright colours and eye-catching prints, no wallflowers in the gym for SS16… The dri-fit technology allows for breathability thanks to Nike‘s wickable fabric throughout the range. Their gym shoes are light as a feather and perfect for training and classes, with reflectors on the running shoes with cushioned sole for extra support on the pavements or treadmill.
Millie&Gym was particularly impressive, offering top-range breathable fabrics and high-quality fit for a budget-friendly price point. Their half-zip pullovers in heavy lycra are a great warm-up top for the gym and a double up nicely as something to pop over your base layer for outdoors sports. Adidas kept to their classic aesthetic, with some colour changes to brighten the collection, in corals and purple. Sports bras continue to be a huge trend and Adidas brought their A game with these beauties (pictured above). I loved this training top, with reflector panels that are invisible in daylight, but can be clearly seen when light is shone on them… I used a camera flash for test purposes!
This palate was also seen in Under Armour‘s range; the brand is synonymous with base layers for outdoor training, but its womenswear would give any other gym brand a run for its money! See a video of their apparel over on Snapchat right now (stylesavvy.ie), and a quick peek on our Instagram vid. I was particularly taken with their training shoes which are seamless, ensuring no friction as you exercise. Fun fact, these particular runners are made in a bra factory…
Stella Mc Cartney is the fashionistas gym gear of choice and her Spring Summer ’16 offering did not disappoint. With block colours through the leggings and excellent use of print and pattern, the high end designer has successfully combined style credentials with the technics of the Adidas sporting fit for another winning combination. Her gym accessories will likely be the hit of the season, including this bralet and base layer… (photo credit: Shemazing.ie)
