Primark showcased their Spring Summer collection for 2017 last week at their Dublin HQ…and what a collection it was!
The biggest trend-threads were pastels and metallics, silver to be precise…looks like they are here to stay, so your festive investments can be guilt free, knowing that they have longevity for the season ahead. Top metallic pics include this silver leather effect jacket, embellished bag and ballerina pumps with black grosgrain ribbon detail which really does show that the ballet trend is set to continue also.
Leather and detail was the order of the day for outerwear. We predict a sell out for this embroidered and studded jacket, as well as this graffiti effect number for the braver among us.
The ruffle is strong, as seen in the neck collar detail of this denim piece, as is the embroidery on the white look below, which we have seen showcased since late Autumn… a plain shirt just won’t cut it for SS17!
Sunglasses were as cool as found be, encased in a block of ice….alongside the larger visor style which lends well to current designer trends. Jewellery is simple and minimal, think Cos vibes in metal form.
Arguably the strongest point of the Primark collection is their loafers and sliders with an unmistakable Gucci inspiration. Again the metallic reigns supreme and embroidered mules add a certain something to the Limited Edition collection. The gold bar loafer and pastel sliders are likely to catch the eye of savvy fashionistas when they hit the shelves in the New Year.
These hot pink fur pool sliders are undoubtedly a bold choice…but for a likely price tag of under €15, we reckon a playful investment won’t break the bank for warmner days with ripped boyfriend jeans and an oversize sweater.
The treats were sugary, frosted and wonderful, with each element of the showcase staying true to Primark’s unrivalled VM and attention to detail.
Thanks to their Press team for such a beautiful event,
