Last night, every A-lister in Hollywood stepped out in glamour for the most anticipated and prestigious award show of the award season. The Academy Awards showcases the best in the business, awarding Hollywoods outstanding films, actors, actresses, directors and so much more, and while their eyes may have been on the talent, ours were on the fashion. From feathers and lace to architectural designs, we have chosen the top trends from the red carpet just for you.


Fringe made a comeback at the awards show last night with celebrities choosing fringe to add detail to their dresses. Award winner Emma Stone and Halle Berry both wore dresses with fringe bottoms whereas Olivia Culpo broke the status quo in a Marchesa gown with fringe featuring throughout.

Metallic Shimmer

Metallic shimmer was added to the awards fashion with Chrissy Teigen using metallic embellishment to create the shimmer effect. Whereas Sofia Boutella and Charlize Theron went with more statement metallic looks for the evening.

Theses celebrities channelled the Oscar award going head to toe gold. Robin Roberts and Jessica Biel wore gold metallic, figure hugging dresses with futuristic, but old Hollywood glamour feel, while Dakota Johnson wore a Gucci dress, reminiscent of the 80’s with shoulder pads and long sleeves.

Lace proved popular with these red carpet stars. Academy Award nominee Ruth Neggaa and Ginnifer Goodwin stunned in red lace Valentino and Zuhair Murad, respectfully. Award Winner of 2016, Alicia Vikander wore a black lace Louis Vuitton gown creating her signature romantic and youthful style.
